I have more than 250 words for this but just know we appreciate these newsletters weekly. We know you have more to do than entertain us but we feel seen and congratulate your honestly. You share these stories with such humor it makes you so relatable. Appreciate you taking the time for us!
Jk my dumbass was typing this under my bio- first timer here-
Every time I read these newsletters I’m like im gonna leave a comment so she knows we appreciate all this time and effort she puts into these amongst the MANY things she has going on daily.. but haven’t yet so here it finally goes- thank you for these newsletters! They make us feel freaking SEEN not to mention- you are funny as hell.
I am usually cackling but with this one, I empathize. (And I was even dying laughing during the last horrific tragedy out of town because you are sarcastic even through it and post) You guys have been THROUGH IT lately.
I’ve been there with my son and cavities. I felt sooo crappy as a mom.
And worried as hell with being under anesthesia. But all went well. He was super cranky on the drive home so prepare for that in case she’s not still sleepy after. Thank you for sharing all the nitty gritty and imperfections. We should all root for each other and compare similar situations not just as Moms but women. And let’s not forget houseinhabit had us convinced Princess Kate was dead and the Royals were covering it up… Betch ain’t always right.
Appreciate you! And sending great vibes and prayers towards Harper’s procedure
hahaha typing in your bio. i'm dyin'. substack is a little tricky, especially if youre trying to work it on your phone.
thank you SO so much for the kind words. it means so much, truly! and for the cavity solidarity. I'm glad to hear it went well. If grumpiness is my biggest problem, I'll take it.
lol so true about houseinhabit...only time will tell, but I have a feeling we're on the right side of history with this one.
Addi, the exact same thing happened to my daughter too. And I had the exact same reaction. But with 4 years of hindsight and 2 other children under my belt I can say with all the confidence in the world that this was absolutely NOT your fault. So many things contribute to cavities that are completely out of our control. But you know this! ♥️♥️
Teaching from rest - love it. Read it every year before we start school. When you’re done, read the 4 hour school day by durenda Wilson.
Freaking cavities. I brush my daughter’s teeth religiously. She doesn’t drink anything but water, eats Whole Foods, very little sugar. Took her to the dentist this week and she has SO many cavities. You know why? Because she’s having acid reflux apparently. She has never complained once. I had no idea. 😟 It’s the worst mom guilt feeling
Oh gosh, acid reflux! I'm sorry. So not your fault, but it's still such a bummer. Wishing you and your babe all the luck at the dentist. Can't wait to read the 4 hour school day!
I'm like 99.9% sure at this point that Grace is an angel on earth. Love that woman to pieces. Thanks, Meg! Hope you and the fam (and baby!) are well <3
I’m commenting on here just to tell you that my 4 year old has all sorts of cavities on her teeth. We eat very healthy, brush, floss, putty, cod liver oil and more but for whatever reason she struggles big time. And my 6 year old has none. It’s just the pits and I’m sorry for you and your little cutie. ❤️
My son chipped his front two teeth and had to have crowns placed on them, along with crowns on his molars. He was under anesthesia as well. I had the exact same reaction as you. It was really hard to cope with until he was healed and back to himself and then I was so glad we had the procedure done. Praying for you guys!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, I know that I'm going to be feeling SO much better on the other side of this. The stress hanging over my knowing she had the cavities and now the stress leading up to the procedure is no fun. Thanks for the encouragement, Kelsey!
I have that homeschool book, too! I should revisit it. Thanks for the reminder. So glad you’re off to a glowing start! Even if you have up and downs (which, you will, don’t we all) that’s the beauty of homeschooling! Take a breather, come back to it, it’ll work out 🤍

Ahh the pearls of wisdom from Grace Wolnski. They have gotten me through many-a-meltdown. ♥️ You’re an amazing mama Addi. Don’t you forget it.

Can you share your apple pie recipe from the other day? You inspired me
